Acrylic paints, early summer 2004
Wilderness Fellowship
I came to the Wilderness Fellowship in early summer and my mouth fell open as I drove into a tunnel of green. Holy smokes! After the stark, leafless muddy grey of spring, summer exploded into green life.
The quality of light, walking under a bright blue sky and green leaves healed me.
I walked a path and came to a fork in the trail, one leading deeper into the woods and the other turning into an open field. I was struck in that moment of choice and painted how I was drawn from shadow into the light.
