Ginger and I each made a wall hanging of a tree and labyrinth together at her dining room table. She had invited me to a wellness conference and I had attended a class on labyrinths and learned how to draw them. We cut trees out of fabric, ironed the pieces together, and then draw labyrinths in in green puff paint. On the trunk I wrote "The way in is the way out" which connects with the truth of a labyrinth- there is only one path, walked in to the center and then retraced to walk out. As I tried to understand my life, I found myself retracing very painful places, unable to see how near the center or the exit I was, and wondering if there was a center to my suffering or an end.
