This piece was also done for my Hamline class and is again a representation of my body. When I completed this piece, I wanted to turn the page and hide it but instead, I left it open over night to honor my truth. These are all criticisms of me, many of which I lived with repeatedly.
At the time, I didn't realize how much this negativity was having a physical impact on me and I was using bodily wounds more symbolically. In hindsight however, I do see how these beliefs about myself were woven into my physical pain and illness as well as how my dysfunction and pain drove me into the excesses listed above.
