I drew this piece quickly and with a bodily clarity, from the guts. It represents the death of my twin brother in utero and was drawn in response to a panic attack in which I began to remember my loss of him. He is very dear to me and I miss him and consequently I rarely speak of him since my love for him is sacred.
Alone in the dark with the taste of his death in my mouth is echoed in my experiences of being forced into oral sex as a two and three year old, drowning, with death in my mouth.
